Welcome to our first Gifted Family Networking Activity for the West Branch in 2013!  Gifted Families welcome from anywhere, not just West!

Informal opportunity for Gifted Children & their families to have some fun & get to know other Gifted Children & their families. There will be no organised activities, tours or workshops at this event.


  • Visit & Explore The Cube [11:30-12:30]
  • Family Picnic afterwards in the City Botanic Gardens [12:30-1:30] (Optional)

[Wet weather will cancel the picnic, The Cube is indoors so attendance is not affected by the weather - notice will be posted on our Branch News, scroll to the bottom of the link's page]  ** Picnic is on ! **

The Cube, at QUT, is one of the world's largest digital interactive learning and display spaces dedicated to providing an explorative and participatory experience to inspire and engage the next generation of thinkers and doers. Using advanced digital technology 'citizen scientists', experience real project scenarios and explore big questions from research areas in Science, Engineering, Technology and Mathematics.

Explore The Cube for as long, or as short, as you likeWe will gather for an optional picnic in the City Botanic Gardens from 12:30.

The Picnic, at the City Botanic Gardens:  located beside QUT.  Please BYO Picnic gear & goodies for your own family & join our group in the City Botanic Gardens. An opportunity to enjoy the gardens & network with other Gifted Families.

If driving, please note the streets around Gardens Point is metered parking.  No Parking onsite.

Bring your ideas along for planning more outings!

This is not a drop off event.  Parents must be responsible for & remain with their own children at all times.
