Gifted students who are diagnosed with Asperger’s or are otherwise on the autistic spectrum (ASD) may present parents and teachers with unique challenges.  And many gifted students, while not having an ASD diagnosis as such, sometimes display Asperger’s traits (eg. rigid thinking, dependence on routine, etc) which can impact upon academic performance. Lesley will provide an overview of the school’s recent research in this area and discuss strategies for meeting the needs of these students at school and at home.

Parents, educators and community members are welcome to attend. Tea and coffee will be in plentiful supply, as will access to information on resources and contacts.

Bookings are essential as places are limited.   Please note children do not attend our Parent Support Group meetings.
