Our October meeting will be the last for 2010.  We will be getting together to share information in an informal way about what we’ve been discussing over the course of the year and what topics we’d like to address in 2011. Suggestions for guest speakers for next year will also be welcome.

We’ll be joined on this occasion by Kate Alcorn who is an Education Queensland guidance officer on the Gold Coast.  Kate has a special interest in gifted education, and was formerly the South Coast Regional Program Coordinator for Gifted Education. Although not attending our group as a guest speaker, Kate has indicated that she’ll be happy to chat with parents about any concerns which they may be having with young people who are currently coping with life in the gifted lane.

Teachers and community members are also welcome to attend. Tea and coffee will be in plentiful supply, as will access to information on resources and contacts.
