This evening will help adults supporting gifted children build a clear understanding of common terms and models.

 

Giftedness: The Whole Package

Gifts are varied: some are sturdy, neatly boxed, ribbons perfectly tied; some are haphazard, with parts protruding beyond plain paper, barely held together with sticky tape; some appear bare, unwrapped in any protective cover. So it is with the gifted.

Adrienne Alexander from Extension Education will join us as a guest speaker at our March meeting. Adrienne will discuss what a gifted child needs from an education and look at how myths about the nature of gifted children can interfere with schools meeting those needs.
