Through Different Lenses:

Understanding Giftedness and Talent Development

There are different ways of interpreting terms and understanding the forces that act upon identification of gifted children and impact the development of their abilities. Misunderstandings about terms can easily lead to difficulties in communication. What do the various terms mean? What are the ways in which different models explain what giftedness is? How can these models help us to understand what influences development of talents? This evening will help adults supporting gifted children build a clear understanding of common terms and models.
