About the Presenter: Sue Stevens is a secondary science teacher with a Graduate Certificate of Gifted Education (with Professor Miraca Gross) and a Masters’ Degree in Gifted Education. She brings to her presentation experience of her personal journey to attain appropriate programs for gifted children, including gifted indigenous Australian students. Sue is also a Gifted Education consultant and has co-written the Strategies and Indicators Document for Education Queensland, which is an instrument to smooth the implementation of the Framework for Gifted Education. She is currently in negotiation with Brisbane Catholic Education to produce a similar guideline for Brisbane Catholic schools to provide appropriate accommodation for their gifted students.
